GloRilla is having an impressive 2022. She scored a hit record with “F.N.F” and had everyone from Mary J Blige to Tyler James Williams singing her praises and performing their own renditions. She scored a massive Cardi B feature on “Tomorrow 2” and a Grammy nomination for Best Hip-Hop song at the 2023 ceremony.
In addition to her massive success, GloRilla also has a million-dollar suitor on her tail, as basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal has been proclaiming his love for the new MC. During a recent IG live with Druski’s Coulda Been Records series, GloRilla failed to impress the social media comic or do a freestyle in a timely matter. Present in their IG live exchange was Shaquille O’Neal, who declared his love for GloRilla by asking her if she would marry him. While Glo was booted from the live by Druski before acknowledging Shaq, fans quickly noticed and wondered if the former Laker was seriously trying to court the “Tomorrow 2” MC or just kidding.
“Shaq needa stop flirting with Glorilla. She is not Hoopz. Enough,” said one fan, reminding people of his last famous ex and winner of Flavor of Love, Nicole Deannae Alexander. Other’s shutdown fan outrage reminding people, “Yall fake mad at Shaq for getting at Glorilla like Caresha aint with Diddy. Yall don’t know these people prolly mind ya bizness.”
Shaq actually spoke about her during his episode of Drink Champs. He recited the words to her song, saying, “that **** go hard!” before singing the hook. He said the song got him excited while driving in his car but did not discuss his attraction to Glo directly, just that he liked her music. Obviously, she was already on his radar.
Shaq has dated a famous female rapper before, so many its a type for him. He reportedly had a brief fling with Trina back in 2007. Things fizzled quickly over three months with not a lot of information on their union. He reportedly was with Karrine Steffans for a while as well. Most famously, he was married to Shaunie O’Neal from 97 to 2002. She is one of the executive producers and stars of Basketball Wives. They share four children together, including Amriah, Shareef, Shaqir, and Me’Arah. They also have kids from previous marriages, including Myles and Taahirah.
According to a July interview from GloRilla, Shaq was actually one of the first celebrities to reach out to her following her song going viral. “I was like, ‘Shaq!?'” she recalled of their initial exchange. She said that the mogul told her he was a fan of her song and her new single. She recalls being so excited and unsure if it was actually him, so she had to go to his page to check.

The interviewer revealed to her that Shaq is actually a DJ, too, and did a set at Governors Ball. When the interview said, “He probably played your song there too,” too which Glo said, “that’s crazy.”
